Description

The Maddy armchair, designed by Patrick Norguet for Alias, represents an exercise in essentiality applied to comfort. Clean lines and calibrated volumes define a welcoming seat, where form and function find a balanced meeting point. Born from a simplified construction principle, Maddy reduces the complexity of traditional upholstery thanks to a light but solid structure: a painted steel frame houses an ABS shell and a rigid polystyrene core, with springs and quilted padding that ensure an enveloping comfort. The upholstery is available in fabric, leather, or eco-leather, enhanced by precise stitching and tailored details. Maddy is part of a modular collection that also includes a footrest and end modules with or without armrests, designed to create flexible and refined compositions. Each element can be combined freely, adapting naturally to domestic or contract settings. A project that combines aesthetics, sustainability, and smart functionality.
