Vela Lounge Armchair

Vela Lounge by Riflessi is an armchair designed to bring a feeling of broad reception, soft and measured, to the relaxation area. Signed by CarlesiTonelli Studio, it was created as an evolution of the Vela chair and amplifies its more enveloping character, with generous proportions and a fluid design that recalls the image of a sail suspended in the wind. The circular lines and continuous shapes lighten the volume, avoiding the 'bulky armchair' effect even in well-kept environments. The project focuses on comfort and scenic presence. The seat is designed to support the body naturally, while the welcoming backrest invites a more relaxed break, suitable for both domestic living and contract and hospitality contexts. The balance between formal elegance and durability is also interesting: Vela Lounge does not aim for excessive decorative details but focuses on proportions, tailoring, and customization possibilities, central themes in Riflessi's production. In my experience, it is an armchair suitable for those looking for a recognizable piece that is easy to place, capable of interacting with contemporary interiors without stiffening them. The Vela collection, designed by CarlesiTonelli Studio and launched in 2025, embodies the idea of a light, comfortable, and customizable seat. Awarded the Good Design Award 2026, the project grows with Vela Lounge, a larger and more enveloping version, designed to extend the same fluid elegance to living, contract, and hospitality while maintaining aesthetic continuity and daily well-being attention.
