Aaland is the modular sofa designed by Patricia Urquiola for Kartell and presented at the Salone del Mobile 2024. A project that interprets contemporary comfort through soft volumes, generous proportions, and a welcoming visual language.

The seat stands out for enveloping and continuous shapes, with integrated backs and armrests creating a compact yet visually light effect. Comfort is entrusted to abundant padding, designed for everyday relaxed use, ideal both for domestic living and hospitality spaces. Aaland is conceived as a composable system, capable of adapting to various configurations thanks to linear, terminal, and chaise longue modules. Carefully selected textile coverings enhance the materiality of the project and reinforce its contemporary character. A sofa that combines formal research, ergonomics, and design flexibility, fully expressing Kartell's vision of new-generation comfort.
