Description

The bookcase Quantum, designed by Piero Lissoni for Glas Italia, is an architectural composition that transforms glass into a habitable structure. Made with crystal boxes glued at 45°, arranged in a staggered and irregular manner, it expresses a formal refinement played on geometric rigor and apparent disorder. The available versions range from extra-clear crystal with smoke, bronze, or colored back panels to the mirrored glass variant, all in laminated or tempered safety glass. The optional doors in extra-clear or mirrored crystal open with a push-pull system, while the boxes rest on a black open-pore oak base and are connected by minimal metal joints. The result is a lightweight, luminous bookcase, perfectly integrable both wall-mounted and as a double-sided divider. The 2025 collection of Glas Italia explores the expressive possibilities of glass with engineering precision and visual poetry, confirming the company's role in avant-garde design.
