The sculptural object and function coexist in the Taidgh shelf, a series of elements suspended between art and furniture designed by California-based designer Taidgh O’Neill. Made from carefully selected solid wood, each shelf reveals the beauty of natural grains and a deliberately fragmented construction, making the piece unique and visually dynamic. The joints are treated as expressive elements, not hidden but accentuated by metal inserts, such as the shiny copper corner of model C, which adds a warm and precious detail. Taidgh transforms the perception of the functional object, giving new dignity to the concept of a shelf. More than just a support, it is a graphic mark that traverses the wall and becomes an integral part of the domestic architecture.
